CURATION HEALTH ANNOUNCES SIGNIFICANT CUSTOMER GROWTH AND NEW EXECUTIVE HIRE
Devoted Health, AdventHealth, and other leading healthcare providers and health plans are adopting the Curation Health platform to significantly improve risk adjustment and quality performance
ANNAPOLIS, MD. – March 3, 2020 – Curation Health — an emerging company that has created an advanced clinical decision support platform for value-based care — today announced significant customer momentum and a new chief product officer. More than six new healthcare provider organizations and health plans, including Devoted Health and AdventHealth, have adopted the Curation Health platform to drive more accurate risk adjustment and quality program performance. Curation Health has also brought on new senior leadership — Nick Reding as Chief Product Officer — to drive platform expansion and further support customers that are balancing the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care.
“As a progressive Medicare Advantage plan, we were searching for a partner that was more than just a typical natural language processing solution for value-based care. We needed a partner that would help us fully embrace risk contracting and improve quality performance for our member population,” said Ed Park, Co-Founder and CEO of Devoted Health. “Curation Health delivers the pre– and post–patient visit insights that we need to drive high-quality, value-based care.”
With Curation Health, guidance delivered through the platform is powered by an analytics engine that seamlessly integrates through a standard application program interface (API) into a majority of the most widely adopted electronic health records (EHR), such as Allscripts, athenahealth, and Epic. The platform engine contains more than 500 clinical rules — as well as administrative rulesets, artificial intelligence algorithms, and natural language processing tools— which together transform structured and unstructured data from multiple sources into accurate, actionable insights. Today, Curation Health supports performance improvement in Medicare Advantage plans, MSSP programs, Exchange plans, commercial risk plans, Medicaid risk programs, and quality initiatives based on Stars and other standard measures.
To support increasing customer demands, Curation Health has also brought on a new healthcare executive to lead product design and vision. As Chief Product Officer, Nick Reding is focused on fast-tracking development of the Curation Health platform to further reduce risk and quality burdens for providers and health plans. Reding brings nearly two decades of healthcare strategy and product development experience to his role. Prior to joining Curation Health, Nick launched nearly a dozen new products and services in healthcare at organizations such as The Advisory Board Company, now Optum.
“Curation Health was founded to support providers and health plans that have prioritized improving their performance in risk-based contracts,” said Kevin Coloton, founder and CEO of Curation Health. “Together, we are empowering healthcare provider organizations and health plans to successfully navigate and scale from fee-for-service to value-based care — and doing so while not further burdening clinicians — and driving improved patient care.”
Curation Health will be hosting a roundtable discussion focused on “Navigating the Journey to Value-based Care Using Advanced Clinical Decision Support” at the RISE conference on March 15–17. Curation Health will have experts on hand during RISE at booth #317 to showcase their advanced clinical decision support platform for value-based care. From March 25–28, Curation Health will also be at the AMGA conference in booth #233. For more information on Curation Health, visit: curationhealthcare.com.
