Meet Hiro Obata, QA Engineer at Curation Health.
How long have you been with Curation Health? Did you start at this position or did you grow into it? I’ve been at Curation Health for about a year and a half. I started as a Junior QA Engineer and was promoted into my current role a year later.
What do you enjoy most about working at Curation Health? For me, Curation Health represented a welcome change in career after 20 years in web development. I enjoy the fact that I am always learning something new here and that I work with two other highly skilled and motivated QA engineers. I also appreciate the people and relationships I have built during my time here as well.
What are you most excited about in the future of Curation Health and our industry? I am looking forward to the work that Curation Health has been doing to become more visible and recognized in the industry as more tenants are brought to the platform.
Tell us more about your family. My wife and I have two beautiful kids, Mathew and Madelyn. We also have an elderly child, my mother-in-law (aka Abuela) who lives with us and proves a never-ending source of joy and consternation. Added to the mix is our black Cat Leonardo and our min pin Hoshi.
Do you have any talents? I have a strong upbringing in music, primarily as a violinist. Another talent that I learned about during a trip to Maryland, based on team feedback, was that I have a “Fred Armisen” vibe going on!
Where is your favorite place you’ve traveled? What places are on your bucket list? Japan is probably one of my favorite places I’ve been to. Other locations on my bucket list include Ireland, Iceland, and to re-visit Japan.
